Camouflage by Kathleen Mareé ❤️ Book Tour & Gift Card Giveaway ❤️ (Romantic Suspense)

On the surface, Giselle Duzido could be called many things.

Sassy, determined and breathtakingly beautiful.

But one thing that would never come to tongue, is broken and fragile; because she’s learned to keep that part of herself locked up tight. The veneer she chooses you to see - has it all. Her designer brand is on the rise from her original base in Sydney, to two more stores in Los Angeles and New York; a part of a world she has always fit into seamlessly.

Career-wise? She’s flourishing. Social status? Almost famous!

But scratch just beneath her surface and there it is, eating away at her insides. But at some point, doesn't Sel deserve to have the happily ever after?

She may look just like another twenty-something woman, searching for that earth-shattering love…

But it's all just a camouflage.

What are your top 10 favorite books/authors?
Wow, this is a hard question. But I guess I will refer to some books that I re-read over and over, because I have an insane obsession with them. So for me, The Fallen Crest series by Tijan, and Paper Princess (Royals series) by Erin Watt, are two of my faves. I also recently loved Archers Voice by Mia Sheridan.

What inspired you to write this book?
That's easy. Giselle (our heroine) inspired me to write it. Her story literally would not stop screaming at me, so much that I just had to put pen to paper. When she was introduced briefly in my Cut series, I loved her sass and her outward confidence, but I always knew there was a much deeper story there to tell.

What can we expect from you in the future?
I am about to release the first book in my brand new Lake Shore Uni series, which is a little more new adult romance, than contemporary or suspense. I am writing book two at the moment and am just in love with these characters, so I hope you all will be too :)

Do you have any “side stories” about the characters?
Not at the moment, but I would never say never :)

If you knew you'd die tomorrow, how would you spend your last day?
I would definitely want to be surrounded by my family, and be eating as much chocolate or sweets that I want!

What kind of world ruler would you be?
I would hope I would be fair, compassionate and kind. I really believe that kindness goes a long way.

Describe your writing style.
I would say my writing style is always emotional. When I'm writing a story, the main thing I really want the reader to get out of it is an emotional journey. I want you to feel what the heroine is going through so you go along the journey with her. Even if you don't necessarily like her, or agree with her actions - if you can feel it, then my mission has been accomplished.

What makes a good story?
Again, for me, I think its going on a journey and feeling every emotion along the way. If I personally cant connect with that in a novel, then I don't enjoy it.
What are you passionate about these days?
Writing (duh), and my family.

What do you do to unwind and relax?
I do read A LOT. Although, it does become a problem because if I start a novel, I just have to finish it that same day. I just have to. Therefore, my 'normal' sleeping time tends to suffer.

How to find time to write as a parent?
Honestly, just whenever I can. We are a really busy household as my husband plays professional sport and we both work. So add those things to our childrens busy schedules, sporting commitments and travel - it does get difficult. As above, I tend to get most of my writing done during the time when most normal people are sleeping. Needless to say, I am a bit of a night owl writer :)

From the earliest age I was a born storyteller. Ask my parents and they will tell you I had a gift for making a simple event seem like an elaborate one. Purposely? No. Innocently? Yes. It was my imaginary world that initially led me to believe I wanted to be an actor. All of that role playing and living in fantasy... it was an obvious direction for me. However, becoming quite uncomfortable with the limelight quickly saw that dream diminish. Over the years I turned my world of fantasy into stories, and eventually began writing them down. Before I knew it, 'Cut' had been completed. When I am not busy writing my next story, I am a working mum, housewife and sometimes hockey wag :) In other words, probably some kind of circus act who specialises in juggling ;) I hope you enjoy my blog, where I will be posting thoughts, other books I am currently reading and even sneak peeks of my novels. I encourage any feedback, comments or direct messages via my contact page should anyone wish to get in touch. I am so thrilled to be sharing my journey and hope you enjoy my stories as much as I enjoy writing them. Dream often. Believe always.
