If you're a film buff, you've probably heard of the Rashomon effect, where characters who witness the same event have completely different interpretations of it. This can be a great way to tell a story, and although I can't claim that my erotica is as highbrow as the classic movie Rashomon, exploring different characters’ points of view makes for a lot of fun when I'm writing.

I first tried my hand at something like this when I worked on the Supernatural Seductions series. Supernatural Seductions and Supernatural Seductions II actually take place concurrently, but they focus on different characters. Although both women are dealing with the strange erotic pleasures they experience from being seduced by the same ghost, Supernatural Seductions is Jeannie's story and Supernatural Seductions II is from Traci's point of view. They both respond to the horny ghost soldier, Jesse, in different ways, but their journey leads to the same place: a paranormal seduction that gives them both pleasures they just can't deny.

I did the same perspective shifting when I worked on The Headhunter and The Performance. In The Headhunter, Danielle is auditioning a couple for the adult movies her company produces, and she talks about the effect watching Mark and Maggie has on her. In The Performance, the audition is from the point of view of the woman in the couple, and how much she wants to impress Danielle to get a role in one of her movies.

After getting fired from her cushy human resources job, Danielle is thrilled to get a hot lead on a new position--recruiting for an adult film company. But when she's confronted with such yummy talent, will she be able to keep things professional...or will she end up casting on her couch? From the Author: ADULTS ONLY PLEASE. Climbing into the head of different characters experiencing the same situation can be a lot of fun—especially when the situation is stimulating and sexy. And while these little films in my head don't have the same production value as Rashomon, the changes in perspective still make for an enjoyable time.
