#Pranklove in Blue by Sunniva Dee 💕 Review, New Release Blitz & Gift Card Giveaway 💕 (Romantic Comedy)

𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙮 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙨, 𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙮 𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙨, 𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙡?

Ninni lives for pranking the crap out of K-Pop.
She’d do it with him 24/7—sorry: do it 𝘵𝘰 him.

As in prank him.

Yep, their thing has everything to do with pranks.
Nothing to do with an insanity-in-a-bucket attraction.
It’s not like he’s drop-dead gorgeous and has infinite charisma or anything.
His brain isn’t Donald Duck, Einstein, and Shakespeare in one mischievous swirl either.

Nope! The girls of Blossom Field Avenue #246 and the Dudes of #247 are at prank war.

The Dudes are about to get upstaged.
It’s the prank of the ages!
Perfect. Legendary. Life-altering.

Wait: 𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙮-𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜?

No worries, though. When pranks OD on love, the Dudes and the Blossoms know exactly what to do.

I. LOVE. This. Series.

Yes, these are RomComs, but I'm not being hit over the head with "hey! Look at how funny this is!" The humor is more situational, more subtle.

I met K-Pop in the previous books, and he was presented in a much different light. Honestly, in the previous books, I wasn't even sure how well he knew the English language (he's a Korean exchange student).

BUT. This book certainly cleared that all up. And holy cow, is he pretty hot! When you read the things he said to Ninni and did for her...WOW!!!

Ninni, who has always had a thing for K-Pop (and done a lousy job of hiding it) really tried hard to fight her feelings. But, as I'm learning, when it comes to a Blossom fighting her feelings for a Dude, it's always a losing battle.

Loved books 1 and 2. Loved book 3. ECSTATIC for the next one!!!

(I was given this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)

"A hilarious, crazy romp of a read!!!! I was in stitches through the whole book!—Imaginary USA Today and Wallstreet #1 Bestselling Rom-Com Author.

There were three things I, Kitty Hoskins, didn’t know when I moved into the all-girls, non-sorority house Blossom Field Avenue #246:

1) The house opposite ours, #247, is home to the gorgeous jerks of the Iota Fraternity.

2) Lucian Spencer Anderson lives in #247 and is possibly the hottest stripper-slash-social-science student you’ll ever meet.

3) #246 (The Blossoms) and #247 (The Dudes) have the longest standing, most ruthless prank war in the history of rivalries. The only thing the two houses agree on is that they live and breathe for the next battle.

Funny then that the real challenge is the one I never saw coming: an alliance with Lucian Spencer Anderson. When a cold winter threatens the stray cats of Deepsilver, our mutual love for animals forces us to team up. Bad, right? Well, it gets worse: we’re going to need the cooperation of our two houses to pull this thing off.

What a fun story!

Let me start off by saying that I'm not normally a RomCom type of gal; give me an angsty-edgy-tortured-hero-darkish-romance and I'm a happy camper. But I was ecstatic to read this because Sunniva wrote it!

The cast of characters is, in my opinion, what really made this book a success. I encountered so many different people, and they all added a different vibe to the story. I can't imagine the book without any of them in it...they just all added that perfect something.

I liked Kitty because she just kinda rolled with it. Where many newbies in her situation might have balked at the tit-for-tat going on, she took it in stride and I admired her ease or adaptation.

Lucian also adds that special something to the story, but it's his qualities of loyalty and devotion that I found so endearing.

Whether you're a RomCom-er or not, one thing is for sure; you will NOT be bored with this book!

Two households, both alike in dignity... hit a serious snag in their ongoing prank war last semester.
The Blossoms of #246 and the Dudes of #247 each lost a member to flippin' Love. (Insert eye-roll here.)

The lovebirds/turncoats now plan to move out of their houses and in with each other. But true prankster talents like Kitty are few and far between, so the remaining Blossoms are going to make damn sure there's no shacking up before Kitty has the perfect replacement for herself.

The Blossoms and the Dudes agree on very little, but everyone agrees on this: there can be no more pranks-turned-lovers between the two arch-fratenemy houses.
Yep, everyone agrees.
Almost everyone.

Where was this fun when I was in college?!

As I said in my review of book 1, I am not a RomCom person. I like my books broody and angsty and slow-burning and emotional.

But.

The characters in this series are just so fun to read! They are each so unique and each adds their je ne sais quoi to the mix creating a perfect balance.

I think Saki might be my favorite. She is "the brain" and routinely gave "fun facts" during her inner monologues. She is also apparently of a mixed heritage, and that added something special to the story too.

Picasso is more reserved than his brethren, and I rather liked that. He obviously likes Sake, has for some time, and it's absolutely adorable, the gestures he shows her. Well, except the very first one that he wrapped...Lol! Oy...

This is book 2 in this series, focusing on a different couple, and while I don't know that it's 100% necessary to have read book 1, I would honestly say it's 80% necessary if you want to get the whole picture of the dynamic between the Blossoms and the Dudes, their pranks, etc.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE NEXT BOOK!!!

So you know I’m a writer. I write literary romances that are full of substance and romance. I tend to write in my head all the time, like when I sleep, breath, pet cats, am forced to make dinner, and even while doing my job as an adviser for students at an art college in the South—
I mean…I—I—I write at other times too.
I love international flights when they’re delayed and my Mac and I can dive into a bar. There’s nothing better than an hour or two lost (too quickly) in pages I didn’t know were waiting for me.
I hate schedules, real life, cross-country skiing, and moodiness not inside of me. Not that I enjoy it in me. I’m just used to it, and it feeds scenes in my books, see?
I giggle at everything. I don’t judge easily. People say I’m kind/genuine/shy/stubborn/annoying/aloof/boring, but above it all, I am passionate. A Dragon of the Chinese zodiac and an Aquarius with all-the-air and the brightest color palette. Incidentally, that last fact could be why no one wants to buy the house I’ve got for sale.
But mostly, I love to write.
