Sarah's Home by Vicky Whedbee 💕 Spotlight & EXCLUSIVE eBook Giveaway 💕 (Vintage Romantic Suspense)

The story of those you came to know and love in Sarah's Song continues in rural Appalachia, Hurricane Hollow, Tennessee, in 1956!
After learning of the horrific abuse her adopted son endured during his childhood with nowhere to escape to, and then losing her best friend to more senseless violence, Millicent Thornton embarks on a journey to provide a safe haven for anyone that needs it. She builds Sarah's Home in honor of her late friend, bringing her dream to fruition, however, it isn't long before she realizes she has seriously underestimated the need of such a facility. Nor could she ever have imagined that her life and the lives of those closest to her would be turned upside down with the arrival of the first few occupants, and changed forevermore when the identity of another patient is learned!

5.0 out of 5 stars AS GOOD OR BETTER THAN SARAH'S SONG!!!

By Jean K.B. on January 18, 2019 Format: Kindle Edition

OMG! I loved Sarah's Song, deeply. I live here and these two books took me back in a good way. Soon I will read them again together. The author did a wonderful job of bringing you up to speed on the previous book. I love reading about those previous characters and there are new ones that you will love just as much. There are surprises I did not expect. Don't miss out on this book! If you liked anything about the other one, you will want this one. It wraps everything up in a beautiful way by the end of the book. I love the language from the early times and the writer got it right. Don't miss out!! It is so good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great reading!

I have read all 3 of Vicky's books and find her to be a rare talent. This latest, is excellent and insightful. It picks up where Sarah's Song left off. The first part is a synopsis of the first one. Vicky's characters are flawed, and real with heart and warmth. You can "see" them as surely as if they were in front of you. She made me chuckle and cry, but mostly she surprised me with twists that I didn't see coming. For someone who has grown up in the South, you probably have the language used by the people in this part of the country. Now I can't wait until she writes another book. You should read Sarah's Song first. It gives you all of the hardships endured by these wonderful people.

The plot transition is smooth and captivating. The characters are so very relatable and real. You can lose yourself in the dialect and picture yourself in rural TN. Can't wait for the thir

5 STAR review:

Beautifully written. It touches the heart, and stirs emotions.

It’s the 1940’s in rural East Tennessee, Appalachian country. For most everyone there is only work, and possibly church, if there’s one nearby. People rise before the sun is up, work hard, go to bed early, and rest in church on Sunday. Little chance for much else to happen. Right?

So, why would keeping one little secret for over sixteen years be so important? What could possibly have happened that could change the lives of so many people, if the secret were to be revealed?

There are only three people alive that know the answer to that question. For now.

I was born and raised in Florida where I currently reside with my husband. I enjoy writing, reading, gardening, crocheting and other crafts. I especially enjoy spending time in Tennessee, where both my father and husband were born. Many holidays and family vacations were spent in Tennessee, and it is very dear to my heart, so it stands to reason that my first three books are set in the beautiful mountains of Tennessee. It has been my life long dream to write books.
